Valentine-less by Rachelle Delaporte Celebrating Valentine's Day with a Romance in your life While you are Single. The array of flowers, purple, pink, and red decorations on store shelves may cause your heart to get heavy when if you choose to indulge in self-pity and concentrate on the fact that there will have no one to share this holiday with. But if we pity ourselves into believing that because the special someone hasn't appeared in our lives, and they never will; we are turning our sadness into self-pity. Instead, we should focus on the fact that we do have someone very special who is preparing the right mate for us in His timing. We can change our attitude into a more positive attitude by focusing on what we do have. We have a loving relationship with Christ as His bride and He wants us to spend each solitary Valentine's Day we have in His presence. He loves us and He wants our full attention. So instead of trying to find a quick date to enjoy Valentine's Day with, instead find time to spend enhancing your relationship with a God who will love you for the rest of your life. Past marriage and the death of your future spouse, God will always be there for you. And by spending time along with God this Valentine's Day, your future spouse will appreciate it too because your time alone with God will make you a more Godly spouse. This time of waiting and enjoying Christ on Valentine's Day is precious. Don't forget about your first love. God is envious of your time & attention and He wants to know that He comes first before He brings that special person in your life. Here are some ways you can enjoy this alone with God – Spend time alone with God Go on a Walk through the park & talk to God Journal to God about all the reasons why you love Him above all others Buy yourself a rose or box of candy as your Valentine's gift from God Spend time in worship to God telling Him how much you love Him. These moments with Him are precious so don't forget about Him while you are waiting for your future spouse. He'll bring the right person into your life in His perfect timing.
